a Caribbean Aguardiente-based cocktail  and a Cuban classic created around 1895 during the War for Independence from Spain.  Originally warmed and taken medicinally against a chill in the campos of the mambises - the soldiers of the Independence.

Directions:

1. Add honey to lime juice and stir to dissolve honey.

2. In a chilled Old Fashioned glass, add the honey syrup, Aquardiente, and crushed ice.

3. Top with soda water, stir, garnish with citrus wheel and serve.
