Bao is a steamed yeast bun, slightly sweetened, made from wheat flour, with a variety of fillings. These vary from Chinese Sausage to date and sweet bean paste or salted duck egg to pork. It is also blanching and refreshing, aubergine (US: eggplant) and possibly abalone.
