A member of the custard apple family. The fruit is a cross between the cherimoya and sugar apple or sweet sop. It is about the size of a large capsicum with a dusty, tough skin marked a little like a pine cone. The flesh is very soft, and is a blend of vanilla and mango. The fruit selected should be extremely soft but with an unbroken skin.
