The roe of a hybrid cross between sevruga and oscietra sturgeon. It is very firm, good quality caviar but uncommon.
A very sweet, small plum tomato variety originating in Taiwan.
Gum tragacanth. A viscous, odourless, flavourless gum used in pharmaceuticals and foods as an emulsifier, thickener, stabilizer, and texturant additive (E-number E413).
An indeterminate, unspectacular but heavy-cropping variety of tomato producing several early, large trusses on a cordon plant. Good for frying.

Bonito, or skipjack tuna.This is a migratory fish which is available up to 25 lb (11.3 kg). Although it is often sold as tuna, it is not a tuna at all. They live in shoals in warm seas. Dried shavings are indispensable in many Japanese dishes as the basis of the flavouring for stocks and broths. In the Maldives it is usually cured by boiling, smoking and sun-drying until it is as hard as a piece of wood. This enables it to be kept for a long time. It is used in Sri Lanka in the equivalent of nam pla-like fish sauces.
A mackerel shark closely related to the porbeagle. The shortfin mako inhabits offshore temperate and tropical seas worldwide. The closely related longfin mako shark, Isurus paucus, is found in the Gulf Stream or warmer offshore waters. Swordfish are a good indication of shortfin makos as the former is a source of food and prefers similar environmental conditions. In 2010, Greenpeace International added the shortfin mako shark (Isurus oxyrinchus or mackerel shark) to its seafood red list.
