A variety of dessert cherry producing heavy crops of large, dark red fruit with good flavour. This is a self-fertile variety.

Cherokee Purple tomato

A variety of heirloom tomato from Tennessee, possibly developed by Cherokee Indians before 1890. It is an indeterminate variety the short vines of which produce smooth round fruits weighing 280-340 g (10-12 oz) with rosy brownish-purple skin and dark green, slightly ridged shoulders. The flesh is brick red and has a smoky sweet flavour. The fruits are disease and crack resistant and are produced in late season.

There are over 150 varieties of cherry. Sweet (dessert) cherries are eaten fresh. The flesh is soft and very juicy or firm and moist. Skin colour ranges from pale yellow to near black and they can be almost heart-shaped. Acid (sour or culinary) cherries, of which Morello is one, are used for cooking, bottling and jam (US: jelly) making. The flesh may be white, pink or red. Duke cherries are a cross between the two and have juicy flesh.

Cherry Cox apple

A variety of deep red flushed and striped eating apple with some russet, closely related to Cox's Orange Pippin. It was discovered some time around 1942 in a Danish orchard in Linved Hjallese and introduced commercially to the United Kingdom in the early 1950s. This is a late-season apple which is picked from late September to early October, is stored and is at its best from mid-October to early January. In the United States this is a mid- to late-season apple.
