Croaker or drum fish. A deep-bodied seawater fish which can be cooked in many ways. Croakers or drums are so named because of the croaking and drumming which accompanies their mating.

An excellent firm-fleshed fish, usually served fried but also delicious baked. Most popular around Cape Town where you can buy it fresh. Unfortunately, so Colleen Baker tells me, you have to freeze it to transport it to Durban so its not available fresh there.

klipspringer

Klipspringers are the only antelope that lives on kopjes and cliffs, having a short body, massive hindquarters and sturdy long legs. It stands on the tips of truncated hotyves. The horns are wide-set, upstanding spikes, 4 in (10 cm) in length and are occasionally present in females of East African origin. It bounds up and down steep slopes and jumps from rock to rock, landing with all 4 feet together on the flat tips of its hooves; it walks in a stilted manner and runs in jerky bounds even on level ground.
